As you complete this course, you will:
- gain an awareness of the importance of fostering equitable and culturally and linguistically responsive classrooms;
- learn how to establish equitable environments that value the status of both the home language and English;
- explore ways to infuse culturally and linguistically responsive teaching into your practice; and
- discover guidelines for effective English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction for English learners through a framework that recognizes the rich and varied cultural wealth, knowledge and skills that diverse students bring to schools.
